This room has supposedly claimed over 50 lives and has a reputation for being haunted.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Within the haunted Breakwater Inn, set designer Steve Arnold created the vintage bathroom grate (where Tom hears echoes of the terrifying New Year&#8217;s Eve countdown) and blue Victorian damask wallpaper as a nod to Stanley Kubrick&#8217;s <em>The Shining<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>For the exterior of the Breakwater Inn, Christian Sprenger spotted a Victorian house in Maynard, Massachusetts, that resembled the infamous painting, <em>House by the Railroad <\/em>painted by Edward Hopper.
