• This is the third collaboration between Billy Eichner and Nicholas Stoller.
• Luke Macfarlane revealed he had no inhibitions during his sex scenes with Billy Eichner. “Specifically we had an LGBT intimacy coordinator, so they were familiar with language that might be a little bit different. Billy and I felt really comfortable. We gave each other permission to go for it.” He said there was only one thing he refused. “There was a moment when Billy was like should we spit on each other? And I was like, ‘Nope! Nope!’ So that was something that I decided not to do.”
• Principal photography was set to begin on June 7, 2021, in Buffalo, New York, and Provincetown, Massachusetts. Filming subsequently took place in Manhattan, Jersey City, and downtown Cranford, New Jersey.
