  • After casting Adam as the lead, the producers asked him to review the script and rewrite it to suit his comedic style.
  • Because of scheduling conflicts, Alexandra Daddario filmed for only 2 weeks, as she had to shoot We Have Always Lived in the Castle (2018) afterward. To accommodate this, many night shoots ran 16-plus hours to film all the Halloween party scenes.
  • The song that Noah sings once he figures out that he’s in 2014, and has the chance to redo his meeting with Avery, is “Back in Time”, which features significantly in another time-traveling movie: Back To The Future.
  • Carrie repeatedly snaps a photo whilst saying “candid”, ultimately making the shot appear staged. It isn’t until she stops trying to manufacture those moments that she actually gets the candid shots. This mirrors Noah’s journey: forcing a relationship fails, but letting it develop naturally endures.
  • Noah travels back and forth in time via a photo booth. Coincidentally, Carrie, the girl he eventually ends up with, is a photographer.
