TMP Television Edition: Book Adaptations: Wandering through the Shelves hosts a weekly movie challenge in which you choose 3-5 movies based on that Thursday’s theme and explain why you chose those movies. Today’s theme is Book Adaptations.
THE RINGS OF POWER (2022-)
It hasn’t premiered yet, but this series based on The Lord of the Rings novels (and appendices) looks intriguing to me. I love the movies so I’m definitely interested to see how this series pans out.
THE OUTSIDER (2020)
A miniseries based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, The Outsider follows the investigation into the murder of a young boy. There is, of course, a horror bent to the story, so I will not go any further as to avoid spoilers. But this is a definite must-watch for King fans – or just fans of gripping thrillers.
THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE (2018)
Based loosely on Shirley Jackson’s classic, The Haunting of Hill House follows five siblings whose horrifying experiences at Hill House have followed them into adulthood. This was such an amazing series with genuine scares and twists.
